Star Crossed Tattoo has been home to some extremely talented artists, including myself (JK, I sucked). However, it is Hong Kong's leading shop. With an emphasis on hygiene and pushing the limits with custom work it is one of the only places in Hong Kong I recommend if looking to get some work done.

If you live in Hong Kong or plan on visiting, Star Crossed is a must visit shop. Not only are the current artists fully skilled they are also friendly and fun. The staff is very polite and you will not be disappointed with the quality of work.

a fair amount of books

Checked out the Hong Kong Book Fair last week. Was pretty cool, chalked full of books and a few hidden gems. The English book sections were fair enough.

who wants to go to other place?

Was very packed, this picture does no justice to the fullness of the huge hall it took place in. At some points during the day I was getting rather annoyed.

found one stall that had amazing books, I wanted to buy everything they had, but didn't. It had loads of neat design books - check it - www.basheer.com.hk/.

The Hong Kong Book fair runs until the 26th and is at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center in Wan Chai. It is 25$ to get in or 10$ before 12 noon.

The day after the fair ends the Comic Fair begins! VERY KEEN!

Rock Lobster

Kneecap done! covered with a gypsy head that Ross Turpin drew up for another client who ended up changing his mind... I really liked the design and asked him to chop it on me!

Blank Skin

So check out this magazine... Hong Kong's first and only tattoo magazine, sure hope it works out. It's free right now so go pick one up, not exactly sure where you can find them, alls I know is there is some at starcrossed right now.... Blank Skin. Ross and Rich have some flash in there and a cool looking ad. Yeah proud of my friends' accomplishments!

Also, this game is super fun!

You are this big blob who rolls around and colors up cities that have been taken over by the evil commander black (the enemy of color and all things fun). You do this by jumping into pools of paint and splashing color onto literally everything!

-It's cooler than it sounds....

First things first, my other elbow is now complete... stung like a mother....

After a session and a touch up I now am the proud owner of an exploding deathstar on my elbow...

Literally the first shirt I looked at on the rack.... It was my destiny! (pun intended)

After getting my elbow slain, we did a little band practice with our band SINS! (sorry Greg, may have stolen the name from you) and that was rad. Hope to catapult into having some hot and heavy fun and play some shows asap....

I found THE coolest star wars shop ever EVER!!!! But, it's a secret!

Found an EFX O-fficial Storm Trooper helmet.... awesome replica, they had a master replica but it was FAR too expensive, so I thought with my lucky money I received in my Lai See I could purchase this superb helmet I will cherish forever and ever.

The shop had almost everything... super star wars boner!

Then went from the shop to Star Crossed to get my slayola tattoo.... Awesome job (as always) from my superfriend Rich Phipson!

...amazingly bad picture, but I still cant figure out my dumb-ass camera.

Anyways it's a cool green color and very nicely done.

Halloween Queen

October was pretty lacking with blogage. Let's try and make Movember a better one shall we? Halloween was a fun one this year. I had decided on some crap costume and was a bit bummed about it until I found a costume that just shouted me...

We went to the rooftop of the Fringe and partied to an open bar.

Monica was an egg!

There were many other fantastic costumes which I can't seem to find the pictures of at the moment.

Woke up the next day feeling chipper and rearing to go... Star Crossed was having a halloween bash at the shop.

Ross got suited up in the smallest ninja outfit I have ever seen.

Richard was just some crazy axe-wielding killer as his wife was a wounded fox.

Day off today! Currently just chilling out on my balcony drinking some coffee and enjoying the gorgeous weather hong kong seems to be experiencing.

gnarly, belching, spider-eyed baboon

Last week during my lets get a billion tattoos week I got exactly that - a gnarly belching spider-eyed baboon! I've wanted a baboon tattoo for a while, just cause they are so monster and ugly and uber colorful. Finally Richard made it happen.

Just short of a week later now and my leg is still in pain. I am hobbling around Hong Kong like a lame 'wounded fox'.

Anyhow very excited about this tattoo, it is one of my new favs! Thanks Rich.

Alright so we have finished off mr.R2D2... Really stoked with how it turned out! Very happy with the choice of colors. Ross did a very awesome job.... I was whining a bit (like a girl, cause that's what girls do - whine.) Anyways happy with the end result.

... going back tomorrow to get another sweet piece! Richard is gonna "chop" me this time, until then.

Had a little shindig at the house just this last weekend. Greek food, greek games and drinks. Was a fun night with a good turn out. Anyways pretty straight forward night, not much to blog about, had too many drinks and convos with too many people.

In other news, my buddies down at Star Crossed Tattoo are hosting a halloween night. There will be free tattoos from 2-9, followed by a showing of Evil Dead. SWEET! you should definitely go by the shop if you got nothing to do, or even if you have something to do, blow it off and hand out with some cool dudes!
