Zine Scene

It's been too long. Chinese New Year is over and I have spent almost all of it either with a drink in hand or playing the new Zelda (which is freaking rad by the way).

Other than that I don't have a hell of a lot to report. 

Hungry Ghosts EP launch is coming up this Saturday (4th of February). Please go and support them. It's gonna be a fantastic show!

On the 10th I am taking part in a 'Zine Swap' with a bunch of friends and fellow artists. This should be a fun night too... swing by and pick up a bunch of original zines.

Bobbly Wobbly Heads

Had to wait in Sham Shui Po yesterday to pick up my Wii that was being fixed and discovered a place. A magical place full of cool toys. ONE of my new favorite little toy shops this great city has to offer. Picked up a bunch of bobble heads to add to my weak (but now growing) collection. Gonna have to for sure go back and get more!

I don't like pop music...

picked these cool dudes up earlier this week. Got them from this sweet shop on temple street. Shop 111 temple street to be exact. They had way neat-o shirts there and very original stuff.

In news not really related to my life(a.k.a more interesting than t-shirts)

- Nintendo has just recently announced their newest console. It's called Wii U and it looks effing awesome. It's got a new processor that can now compete with the Xbox 360, playstation 3 era of gaming. The controller has been revealed as a touch-screen...

this will enable one to play back and forth between TV and controller.

I am glad Nintendo are making a console for more serious gaming! Actually can't wait to play Zelda on this thing.

Blank Skin

So check out this magazine... Hong Kong's first and only tattoo magazine, sure hope it works out. It's free right now so go pick one up, not exactly sure where you can find them, alls I know is there is some at starcrossed right now.... Blank Skin. Ross and Rich have some flash in there and a cool looking ad. Yeah proud of my friends' accomplishments!

Also, this game is super fun!

You are this big blob who rolls around and colors up cities that have been taken over by the evil commander black (the enemy of color and all things fun). You do this by jumping into pools of paint and splashing color onto literally everything!

-It's cooler than it sounds....

What's the story Corey?

Corey Tam Band played the Wanch the other night, nothing new but its been some time since I've been to a show. Gotta say Zane has massively improved on the bass. He also told me that Poubelle International has asked him to play bass for them which is pretty rad! It's just a kind of rumor at the moment but those guys might be gig-ing around more soon.

Anyways had a stamp card worth of drinks (possibly more) and discovered it was a bad choice for a Tuesday night! But all is not lost, Saw this girl Yan AKA Tyger Feb play again. Used to be in that once known band Hard Candy..... She is really good, great style and has super cute lyrics (mainly due to her chinglish) such as 'give me back my simpsons dvd collection, series one through ten'. ~ Pure awesome!

Monday night the star crossed boys and their wives swung by the house for some wii and cake action (it was Ross' birthday). That was a fun ol fashioned time!

Now I feel I may be getting sick, which super blows!

Christmas came early

10 days early to be exact. My household will be empty during the holidays and we decided to open gifts/have a feast tonight.... It was delicious and I got tons of cool shit!

I'm gona head out and pick this guy up pretty soon -

now a review: Lego Indiana Jones 2 - A solid game, I had so much fun playing this game. Lego never ceases to make fun games. I have never seen the crystal skull movie so I can't say for sure weather it is accurate or not, but I can tell you that the other adventures were pretty far off from the story line (unlike the star wars lego game which was pretty close to the movies). Regardless it's still mega fun and full of exploding lego characters, sizable maps. the vehicles were awesome as well.

Bored of the Rings

Today I was a little bored so I headed down to MK (Mong Kok) and picked me up some time killers.

I remember seeing this as a kid and really liking it. I got it from a shop I really like and the dude sold it to me for super cheap cheap!

Lego Indiana Jones 2

I've been playing it all day, It's pretty fun, but less user friendly than the other Lego games.

Also picked up some sweet second hand shirts... or as all you hip scene kids call them "vintage".

Yesterday I got my sleeve finished off by Julia at Star Crossed.

So happy with it and super stoked to be done with one limb!

After the tattoo sesh I headed over to Central for our first Mammoth practice since our last show (over a year ago now) and it was heaps of fun! I am so happy to be in a band with those fellas again. We are thinking of taking a harder and faster, dirtier and more face-melting direction than before.

My mom got back from her trip to Canada this morning bearing gifts!

As promised before - a quick review on the games i've played recently.

Puzzle Quest 2 was shit. It sucked and you should never play it!

Ultimate Alliance 2 was ok, it was fun but pretty much the same as the first one except for the fact that there are NO ITEMS. It lacked in the originality factor alot. I don't recommend it.
