...and release

A bunch of CD release parties coming up here in Hong Kong... 3 of my favorite local bands are ready to show off their talent and hard work. I recommend going to all three, but thats just me...

JAN 21st

Featuring the voices of what sounds like nothing short of angels. These are songs of the tormented muse - driven by a soft yet piercing beat (Gabe FTW). I own this album and you should too!

JAN 28th

Hong Kong's oldest and most highly acclaimed Hardcore band. Fronted by a very passionate dude (Riz). I have been thoroughly impressed with the quality and energy of their performances recently. I grew up listening to this shit. King Ly Chee is not only a top notch local hardcore band, it is also a major landmark in asian music.

FEB 4th

What can I say about these guys (and girl). They are by far one of my favorite local bands. Not only are they my good buddies, but also just such a kick you in your ass good time. One of the best things about Hungry Ghosts is that no matter which genre of music you prefer, you will always enjoy listening to them. Their crowds are never disappointed, so make sure you make it for this one!

Hot and Heavy

So... December is upon us and it promises to be a month of supremely good music.

This coming sunday (Dec.4) No Turning Back will be tearing it up at Hidden Agenda... Not super familiar with them but my buddy Ross really likes them.

Support: King Ly Chee, Defiant Scum, and Milkshake 7....
It's only 100HKD...

Then on the following thursday is the return of Parkway Drive! Saw these guys a couple years back, was such a fun show. Very cool band to see live. I recommend going to this, already have my ticket.
They will be playing the same place they played last time - at Hang Out....

You may watch this video and think, 'what the shit? another band on the beach video?' but keep watching, it gets REAL good!

ADVANCE TICKETS AVAILABLE AT STAR CROSSED TATTOO
for both shows...

...also simple plan is coming at some point (gives lazy masturbation gesture).

HK.HC

Went to a Hardcore show on the weekend in Support of Rendezvous Records which has moved to a very distant location around Diamond Hill... Bummer, since it was such a good location before.

Anyhow it was a super cool place and a pretty good show. However, I am getting slightly tired of the posi-hardcore scene (or i'm just getting old, or maybe both). It's just the message they speak is a bit too 'inspired' for me. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against positivity. It's just I don't want to go to a heavy show to hear how 'united' we stand, I want to listen to heavy music as so I can party and listen to 'dirty words' etc. haha. you get the Idea....

having said that. Protoss (the first band) was awesome, very heavy and the sound was great!

Protoss

Rich and Ross did a lil' moshing (and I mean a lil!)

The bands that played that night! It was on a live feed with RadioDaDa.

I don't know why my camera has all of these spots on the pictures, perhaps cause it's shit!

Born From Pain

....is the band I went to go see last night...

Was a pretty fun show, best I've ever seen Live Fast Die play and King Ly Chee were pretty sweet! Pretty sweet night, had quite a few drinks from good ol' 711.
We will be playing open mic tomorrow at The Wanch... then play again the next night for a proper show! Exciting since these will be our first shows.

King Ly Chee is a Hong Kong based hardcore band that has been around for about 13 years.
I grew up with this shit!

Live Fast Die are my friends who play super chunky punk music!
Best drunk punk in Hong Kong!!

If you are reading this and are looking for something to do on Monday and Tuesday night you should totally swing by the wanch for either of those days or both and check us out!
